Kept in the Trunk

What goes in the trunk stays in the trunk. This is the list of what we store.

What is in there

• Plate details: your email, a hash standing in for your password, first name, birthday, gender and anything extra you add.
• Your rides, and the short notes each driver keeps so she can remember you.
• A pair of cookies: the first keeps you logged in, the second notes that you got past the gate.
• Payments, as amount and reference only. We do not ask for card numbers.
• Normal server logs, kept briefly.

What it is for

These records exist so rides work, rules apply and the shop stays open. A model we run, or a contracted provider doing only that, writes the replies, and automated safety checks look over the messages. Nothing is sold, and no advertiser ever sees a ride.

Counting cars

A bare counter notes visits by country. It cannot read a ride.

Your controls

In a chat's menu, edit what she noted about you, export the ride or erase it. To close the plate and everything on it, email the shop from your registered address. Rights granted by your local law are honoured on request.
